Black Beta (v1.32)

What's new in v1.32
• Slime Girl Black added!
• Toadstool's projectile fix

• and.. a breakable tree!

SlimeGirl Black!
There are several good ideas that came from this blog. Someone said that he wanted a MoGi with a grab move. Someone else said that he wanted a breast-smoothering attack. And someone else mentioned that he wants to see a new minigame from a "harder" mogi, like "smash buttons" gameplay. SG black combines all that! This new monster has fluid animations and an expanded sex scene!

Problems we faced
"Only a few more days..." It seems like Murphy's law hit us hard this time.  Things were going pretty well in the beginning. We were making good progress and it seemed like there'd be no roadblocks.

Then one day I opened up the program and saw this.

I was... extremely confused where this came from. If you've been following our blog for a while, an unwarranted memory problem has happened before and it wasn't a pretty sight.

This time around though, the situation was different.  Ever since moving the adult animations to be external videos, we were using much less memory.  Previously we got to 25 texture pages before facing such errors.  We're not at 25 texture pages yet.

Therefore, I assumed the problem was on my end, and I began working surreptitiously thinking the problem would be solved before long.  I didn't make the previous mistake of not contacting GM's dev team though. I reached out to them early on.

Time went on, and I was making no progress on my end. I could not see how it was my fault, meanwhile, conversations are slow since it's support.  The direct cause of the problem was never really found.  Parts of the game's memory got corrupted with the #1 theory being a memory mismanagement incident that could be traced to my PC limiting the amount of RAM I could use when my charger got unplugged.

They helped me isolate the problem areas in the game and I began to fix them.  A few more days happened, and since the ball was in my court, I thought I'd be done immediately.  The memory issues had, unbeknownst to me, affected old files too however so things ... took a lot longer than I had expected. But now all these problems are probably gone for good.

Next, Voms tries to call for help, but can he actually defeat... Cyclops?!

  5. Question about buying this game: Suppose if I were to "donate" to get access to beta and the final game when it comes out, does it count as a cash advancement if I pay by credit card? I'm considering purchasing the beta but I'm worried about getting charged interest immediately...

  6. Some various bugs:
    If caught by the smother during invincibility frames, you can still get hit by other attacks. These hits can create a duplicate of your character, which results in the player being able to control the duplicate, but still taking damage from the smother.

    Toadstool's poison attack doesn't trigger sex scene.

    Squirrel seems to be constantly jittering left and right, without any real movement of the enemy. Also doesn't trigger sex scene when hit in this state.

    1. Regarding Toadstool's attack not triggering a sex scene... that's kinda not how the sex scenes work XD.

      We had a long debate over this when the game was originally being programmed.

      Who should have a go at Voms when he falls? The person who knocks him down or the person who's nearest?

      We decided on the person who's nearest. Some MoGi work better as support MoGi. They do damage but not as much as other attackers. Also, if you get knocked very far away like off of a cliff, having the adult animation play is kind of strange.

      So if Toadstool knocks you down and other MoGi are around they'll probably get to you first.

      Squirrel's jitteryness and the duplicate Voms are being looked into. In fact, I think I have it solved. Waiting on the game to compile and I'll update the beta afterwards.

    2. No, what I mean by the Toadstool poison attack is; if the Toadstool is right next to him and there are no other Mogi nearby, he just lies there like a slug. No scene, just an escape bar.

      It functions exactly as you describe for the ball toss attack. Just not for the Poison cloud retaliation.

  7. *I'm not sure what's going on here. This is right after defeating Oak, unlocking the door to the far right and then left from that entrance.

    *Switched to Rudy didn't move at all and when I went to attack I got this fatal error. This only happens when I'm standing still and hit the Z key to attack. Otherwise she runs, jumps, and shoots while in the air just fine.

    *Then there's that squirrel glitch that was already mentioned above.

    So far that's the only things I've seen. But dang, the later areas where you start seeing slime girl black are tough. No save spots for daaaays. I don't remember if this was in the older versions but I'm a little disappointed that you HAVE to trigger an h-scene for it to be in the gallery. Beat Oak so many times already that she is easy mode and I don't even get hit once. So I have to purposely get hit in order to fix my OCD and completely the gallery. Didn't know about that until I had long passed Oak and died later on.

    1. Yes, it was like this since the begining, you unlock the gallery once you get raped, don't need to lose just being raped, however, I agree that with unique MoGi like the queens, maybe the gallery should be unlocked on defeat.

      You can unlock Queen MoGi by defeating them now.

      That image was caused by those images all being on the same layer for some reason. It didn't know which to draw first. I fixed it though.

    2. no. I pressed C and saw 'progress saved', turned off the game, and then when I try, there wasn't a ‘load data' . but there were h-scene and magazine in gallary. so I found the save folder( user-appdate-local-mogi origin ) but there were a save file and a setting file

    3. Well, this can spark an interesting discussion :)

      We do try to make each MoGi interesting and unique. Even the sex scenes tend to have some kind of creativity and humor in most cases. Black for example, the way she uses her attributes to treat cum as she does... that had some thought behind it. Black also is the only MoGi to have 2 sexual scenes (including the breast smoother grab).

      So, my question is this. What would make the next slimes be less generic? And which are the more exotic creatures you want to see?

      As developers we want to listen to everyone. We filter everything we read and our opinions may change through the course of the development. Black is our biggest proof that we do listen to our fans and even if some ideas may be discarded at first, that doesnt mean that they are discarded completely. Black is the product of several (originally discarded) ideas stitched together and we are proud of the result :)

    5. Not limited to the next slime, but you could always give an enemy Boo mechanics (they do something only when not being looked at).

      Some sort of charm ability

      An enemy that has a wall-type ability in an effort to impede Vom's progress or prevent escape from other Mogi abilities. As an additional level implementation, you could strategically place said enemy as a puzzle to reach higher areas. Requiring the player to realize that they must keep the Mogi alive to use the wall to progress through the zone.

      But can you give us an example of how the charming ability may work and how the wall-type ability may impede Vom's progress or prevent the escape from other Mogi abilities?

    7. I was thinking the charm would would force control out of the players hand, either immobilizing them or force them to move towards the Mogi.

      The wall ability would likely be at it's most troublesome in hallway areas. For example; the mogi would wall in front of them as Vom approaches, forcing Vom to deal with any Mogi that he may have ignored while speed running the area, or at least last long enough for the wall to expire.

      In open world areas, it would force Vom to leap over the wall, which would place him at a disadvantage against certain Mogi who have solid anti-air (example Catgirl).

    8. Interesting ideas ^^
      But the way i see it now (I may change my mind in the future) is that any mechanism that will change the controls is annoying and not fan. We need MoGi with abilities that we can use again and again. If we have a mogi the makes you press right but move left more than a couple of times in the game... that would make the game unpleasant to play. Take sonic3 for example, the antigravity areas where the least fun to play imo.

      MoGi with wall abilities... would that be the background walls like "spiderman" from Shinobi2 and Vega from StreeFighter2? Or you mean the left and right walls at the sides of buildings? I dont think many MoGi can fit with those attributes. Maybe if we had a spider MoGi... but actually I'll do you one better. We have plans for a slime MoGi to hang from ceilings. I hope you like this idea and that it somewhat deviates from the "generic slime monsters" that it was mentioned before ;)

    9. It happened, I changed my mind again! I was working on some new ideas and I managed to put some of these suggestions to a Queen. I better not reveal which Queen MoGi it is, but I shared my concept with Titan and although we havent discussed the details, he like it. That queen will have some kind of projectile kiss power (charm) that will immobilize Voms and then she can go grab him and do stuff to him. I'm very excited about this!

  17. So far game works fine. I didn't find any bugs but you set too many enemies and it's a bit hard to go through the new areas. Especially there is nothing to restore character's HP.

    Anyway I love that breast smoothering attack of Black Slimy. Only if it doesn't suck HP so fast. I want to watch it longer :P ^^ You get my rate: A+ :D

    Some time ago you showed a Red Slimy boss fight. How about turn this boob balls attack into red slimes. You can use animations from the black one and change color to red. For more variation add a pussy or butt smoothering attack next to existing one. Such fight should be more exciting than avoiding big red balls. But it's only my suggestion.

    Keep doing guys! I can't wait to play Ucogi :D

    2. I agree that Black's smoother needs to consume less life. Funny how nobody complain about how they escape her grab move, considering that we gave no instructions about it!

      We have our plans for Red. She wont appear in the next couple of Betas but she moves are all decided and drawn. When we reach her boss area in the game, then Titan will program her. I assume in 3-4 betas from now.

      I cant wait to play as Ucogi too! We calculated that in 2 new beta releases from now, that can be a reality.

      I'm trying to decide the Rewards and Goals for Patreon with Titan, and we might add new MoGi slots as Goals. Maybe then we can have more sexy moves.

  19. SAVEPOINT FUNCTION DOES NOT WORK!!!!

    When I press the C button in correct save area the “save1.ini” file DOES NOT APPEAR in C:\Users\Александр\AppData\Local\MogiOrigins directory!!! Yes, I have a Cyrillic user folder – so this might be the source of this issue! I’ve already told you several months ago but you did NOTHING with it!!!

    STOP IGNORING THIS PROBLEM!!!

    Old savefiles from previous beta versions are useless as well. When I try to load from them inserting the “save1.ini” file manually – all MOGIs are disappeared! So each time the new beta comes out I should start from very beginning because old savepoints are bugged (no MOGIs in game at all). But I can’t start the new game either – sevepoint system is completely broken!!!

    I know I am not alone with this problem so DO SOMETHING WITH IT!!!

    Yes, I’m REALLY angry because I was waiting for SEVEN months and I can’t proceed in game because of that bug. You guys are absolutely incompetent in game testing process! I think you have a very small crew – that is your main problem…

      But just a suggestion... since the folder path is in non-english language... how about moving the folder to an english-named path, such as C:\Users\MogiOrigins
      Pls let us know if this fixes your problem.

    2. I checked this my self... my suggestion was a bit silly because you didnt want to change the game folder but the save folder. Apparently we need to add to the game an option where you can change the path where you save your data. Unless Titan can think of something else.

    3. I can see why you're angry having to play through the entire game w/o the save system, however; I do take offense when you say we don't listen.

      In fact, just here in the comments not too far above yours when someone had save issues I tried to address the issue directly. How am I supposed to know whether or not my efforts are in vain w/o feedback though?

  20. Completely restarted to test all the things I saw before the patches. My Rudy fatal error is no more which is great.

    Just some food for thought, maybe try adding something above doors so we can tell which doors we can "access" or are unlocked like a red light green light system like there is for things we've activated with our wrench. I could not tell you how many times I check doors to see where they lead and end up checking a door I don't have access to.

    Bugs:
    - In the room that you get into by unlocking the window with a key, on the bottom level with the 3 draggable barrels and the cart, the e-Panel on the wall next to the door, when you press C to chat with it, it unlocks the door on the middle floor. After the camera finishes moving, I can't close the text box saying "unlocking door...". Only thing that works is the Esc key to go back to the title screen. Funny enough, the door it unlocks is already unlocked.

    - Find a weird glitch. In the underground, the first Neko you encounter teleported to the floor above where the Pumpkin is. I don't know how else to explain it so I screen shot it.

    The way this happened was I went to pull the barrel off the elevator but the elevator started dropping. The Neko had walked over to the base of the elevator and attacked up. She either teleported up as soon as she started the up attack animation or when I got hit by her attack when I was above her. Happened to quick for me to tell cause I wasn't expecting it lol.

    - When fighting Oak with Rudy, when you shoot Oak in her vulnerable state and takes damage, the combat stops. The branch or whatever that she swings at you (not the roots) disappears and won't be visible again until you swing at Oak with Voms which then continues the boss battle.

    - I'm not sure if your supposed to be able to get up here but I found this.

    - There's a glitch where Rudy can "use" Voms wrench on the things you activate throughout the game. I used her to activate this 1.

    Though I don't think it actually did anything. When you use Voms the bar only fills up half way and the light stays red whereas the 1 in the pic is greenish. But if you go to another area, the light seems to turn back to red. Not sure if using Rudy on the lower leveled ones does the same thing.

    - Last areas when Slime Black is introduced, map doesn't seem to work anymore.

    Is there no save point close to the end of the beta? All in all the update was nice. Even though there was only slime black added in terms of mogi, I enjoyed playing through this beta. I have the same problem I did with the last beta though.... Freakin missing 1 Neko hostage! Missed it both times I played through this beta (facepalm). Good work guys, keep it up and don't let the negative comments bring ya down

      -Ah yeah... Oak's never supposed to fight Rudy, but I think I fixed that issue

      -Yeah, Rudy's a hacker. She has her own boxes to hack though, so I made sure she can only hack her own things.

    2. Yea I probably should've been more descriptive than I was with the map lol. None of the areas passed SG red seem to show up on the map. I never really used the map until the last time I played and I finally figured out how it worked and how to keep track of what leads where and where I've been already. So when I was going through the newly added areas passed SG Red, I checked the map every so often to make sure I wasn't missing some side path but the areas never showed up on the map.

    3. I figured out what you mean and I informed Titan. We will try to make a small update of this Beta in 1 or 2 weeks and add all that it was meant to have. We had to rush this beta release because we couldnt waiting any longer and we left a few things out.

      Tell me about the map... does it make sense to you now? Because many players had trouble understanding it.

  21. Nice beta and stuff. Black's sex scene is interesting! But I'd need help for the hostages: I can't get that orc on a high platform... Seriously, it's the only hostage rape I haven't found yet and it's messing with my OCD.

  22. Am I the only one who doesn't matter what I'm doing, but the "LOAD" option NEVER appears? Not only this trouble, but when Voms should be introduced in a sex scene the screen only shows the bar used to scape from sex attacks. It doesn't appears anything else. I try to solve this changing all the settings and nothing happened. I don't replaced, removed or changed ANY file, I don't understend what's wrong. Can someone help me to solve this issue?

    1. Usually the problem tends to be that people forgot to unzip the game before playing it or they deleted/renamed their scenes folder.

    2. Thank you!! I worked really hard for her and I'm happy with how she turned out. I really wanted to get her in the pose you have her in but I couldn't get her hands/fingers on the ground. I then found out that her arms came out a bit short. There are other issues with the model but I plan on getting better and fixing her.

    1. Im not sure what you are referring to but I dont think anything can affect those who donated by PP. If you mean Patreon, everything will proceed as normal, but more stuff might be added to the game, so you are affected in a good way.

      About the email you mentioned, we don't send new emails. As we said in the post "Get the Beta by using the link you received upon purchase".

  30. Just general advice for anyone thinking of picking up this game - Don't. Don't give them your 30 dollars for a shitty half baked platformer. Don't give them any money over Patreon. They've made absolutely piss poor progress for over two years now and contribute nothing but excuses in exchange for your money. Many animations used in the game are viewable on Veins' old website anyway - they're just reused from other games that weren't even good to begin with. The lack of progress over such a long period of time clearly indicates to me that these people are either very lazy or just straight up bad at making games. You can find the beta before this one for free on the internet now anyway - try it out if you don't believe me. This is a huge waste of your time and money.

    1. If you wanted to know how the game played and felt, we offered a free demo for everyone to try out. We made sure it would accurately represent what we were aiming for in the full game. That way, you could gauge whether or not the game was in your interests or not before throwing down any money.

      The beta's not even there to tease you. The fact of the matter is that we're working on it, and we understand that there are some people who want to be privy to the game's progress as it continues. People who really care about the game. It just made sense to us to let these people support us if they wanted to.

      Regarding progress on the game, while I do admit that we aren't the best, I doubt you could find another hentai developer that faced the same problems we did. The game literally broke for more than 80% of our userbase, just by us working on it like we normally would, causing us to go back and restructure it from the beginning.... twice. You probably wont find another developer that needs to rely on an external video plugin for showing animations, because their game's simple and small enough where everything can be packed in. (Most GM games have a hard time getting to more than 3 or 4 texture pages. We have more than 20.) Also, you would also be hard pressed to find other developers who are as direct about their problems as we are. Any time we've had problems, we've detailed everything out not keeping any secrets.

      Making a game isn't easy.

      Also for us, work doesn't stop from lack of motivation or because we feel our time is better used pursuing other ventures. We're both dedicated to the game and are always available for discussion at all times.

      I don't see anyone ever asking "DID EROGI DISAPPEAR?"

      And btw, who advocates piracy? Like... I wouldn't advocate people to pirate "bad" games either. What's the point? Calling it bad and asking people to just pirate it if they want to play it. You had enough desire to want to play it so it definitely has value to you.

    2. Well, I havent reused any of Ucogi's animations except Iron's HR, but even that was after talking to the guy who pledged for it. I have no clue of what other animations you are talking about, but even if that was true, I dont see any harm adding content even if it comes from my previous work.

      You know, we could have easily deleted your message but we chose not to. If you are not a troll, you can be part of a creative discussion, in which you can lay out your problems in a civilized fashion. We can address your issues one by one and who knows, you may have some insight that can make the game even better.

      But yeah, we are here. We listen to everyone. People have problems running the game and we solve them one at a time. People throw us ideas and we try to fit them in the game all the time. We are the first to add videos in a game and we had to explore areas that were new to the GM community because of the size and challenges of this game.

      The game progresses slowly but don't forget the extra things we added which were time consuming. Adding video, adding Hostage Rapes, adding new MoGi such as Gold and Toadstool and alter their sex scenes... we even have a SFW mode with images instead of sexy animations and Pink's HR as a placeholder for all NSFW placeholders. Do you think that this was an easy task to do? The SFW mode was someone's idea from the blog and we made it work. And that's just the surface. We need to think, plan, discuss, predict possible problems, program it, test it, fix any holes in the concept or in the programming or any unpredictable factors. It's not a walk in the park.

      Maybe you wanted a more dark, perverted and aggressive game like the majority of H-platformers where women are getting raped? Then wait for our Patreon, there will be a couple of modes for that too. But up to now, like Titan said, we never false advertise. You know what you get by playing the demo.

    3. You've proven yourselves quite incapable of meeting deadlines, and yes, your game has gone though a ton of issues and bugs, but my point is that's your own damn fault. If you can't create stable and working code, hire someone who can. It's not the fan's fault that this game is delayed incredibly often because of your ineptitude.

      If you're citing "Hey look at at all the cool stuff we're adding" as a reason to miss every deadline, my rebuttal to that is maybe put a game out before adding additional content.

      As for the reused animations, you're right that I was over exaggerating, I've seen two. I'm glad that you've been transparent about it and have no further gripes there.

      The biggest issue in these replies is the baseless accusation of enjoying dark, perverted and aggressive games that advocate male on female rape. Thanks Vic, I appreciate it.

      As for advocating piracy - I don't really, but asking 30 dollars for a beta that you admit breaks relatively often and progresses incredibly slowly is robbery, and you know it. Check out actual game developers on DLsite and other media platforms and you'll find better games, made faster and for less money. The fact that you're opening up a Patreon in addition to the price tag is even more ludicrous.

      If you ever actually finish this game, I will be surprised. I think what you've done here is immoral at worst and lazy at best. I am amazed that you've got any sort of fan following still here, and I wouldn't expect them to stay very long.

    4. First, I want to thank you for keeping the discussion civil.

      Regarding our ineptitude and it not being the fans fault. We've never blamed our fans for anything taking longer than it should. We've also been completely transparent about speed. We said if we faced problems it would take longer to make, as well as said this was our first game of this magnitude. Despite all this, people still supported us because their desire for the possibility of a game like ours to exist trumped all that.

      We don't even really give ourselves "deadlines." Deadline as a word sounds so final, and we've never really been that explicit about release dates.

      Regarding the baseless accusation of enjoying dark perveted rape, I don't think Vic was specifically calling out your tastes. He prefaced it with "Maybe." A conversation through blog posts is slow so he wanted to cover his bases regarding where the conversation could lead. Since his "maybe" was wrong, wouldn't it have just been better to just say that and ignore it instead of taking offense? He wasn't attacking you.

      Advocating means, asking other people to do something. Regardless of any other factor, by the very definition of the phrase, that's what you did. Also, we're not robbing anyone. People who gave us the money got what we offered. Also we're not scam artists. You yourself have just praised us on our transparency. Anyone who wanted to give us $30 had apt opportunity to see whether we were trustworthy enough to give money too.

      Also regarding the competition on DLsite. To be honest, I'm not interested in most of the games there, since it's usually girls getting raped by monsters or something. If not, it's not animated and I'm not really interested in stills. That's what spurred me onto starting this project. Because there weren't any games I was interested in. I played Eroico, looked for more and found almost nothing. It still boggles my mind. I do check every other while, and I've even added the game developer I'm most interested in at the moment, in my other developers section. Zell wasn't always there. Still, I don't think there are many other game developers with good fullscreen animations, and controls that actually feel good.

      Also, what you're looking at is a finished product. You don't know the trials and tribulations they faced making the project into a reality. You only know ours, because you're actually following us. I mean... do you know about the game Fleeing!? (RJ105301) It's not that all the other developers that you're seeing products from are infallible. There's more going behind the scenes for everyone than you're willing to look at.

      Ah one more thing. Regarding Patreon, I have no idea how that negatively affects anyone. Either the game gets more content and gets better or it stays as is. There's no actual minus. Content wont get cut. Everyone will get more... hopefully.

      We're not perfect and we know that. We never said we were. We've only ever told the truth about ourselves our backgrounds and our desires. Nothing less. Even so, people support us because they desire what we offer, and we never fail to mention how grateful we are that these people exist.

  35. This is a reply about Victor's question "Tell me about the map... does it make sense to you now?" Figured making a new comment would be easier to notice and keep track of.

    Anyway, I never really tried using the map until this last beta came out because it looked confusing. I'm used to it now and it's a lot simpler to figure out than I thought. I think the reason I never bothered trying to figure it out was because there's no key like on a real world map. Your just given a map that has lines and squares and some colored stuff with no explanation to what any of it is.

    Maybe throw something at the bottom saying what each symbol is. Make it clear to tell where you are since that took a little figuring out to do. Its simple now that I know but some people (myself included) just don't like pausing the game every area to figure out exactly where I am. Example [yellow area/zone] - Area/zone you are in. Now fill in the [yellow area/zone] with a generic highlighted area/zone. Or instead of highlighting the zone you're in, make a Voms head icon and plop it on the area you're at. Then you could do ([Voms head] - You) for the key.

    Oh also, when you're in a building, there is no marker saying what building you're in as far as I've noticed anyway but maybe I just never looked close enough. Highlight it yellow like when your outside of buildings or plop the Voms head idea above onto the building's icon.

  36. I noticed someone else already splerged about the project basically being money down the drain. Honestly, there are a lot of projects on ulmf and being developed by less-scrupulous persons (Heaven Studios and their in-game disclaimer come to mind), but NOTHING comes as close to the Monster Girl Quest 3D project like this one.     Essentially, a lot was promised, content was produced (very little), and the deadlines were missed far too often to validate people continuing to fund the project. Honestly, it's ridiculous. Oh, but before all that, you (or people who would claim to act on your behalf) actively stalk places like 420chan and 4chan to kill mega and torrent links that provide people who don't want to pay $30 for a project LONG OVERDUE access to the game. Basically, you haven't managed to pull a Rick Meyer's; You've managed to SURPASS the amount of incompetence that one man managed.

    How many H-game developers does it take to screw in a light bulb? Dunno, but it takes 2 to screw a bunch of people out of money on a project they themselves have made next to no progress on. When you've managed to be a worse person than Rick Meyers, it's time to re-evaluate your approach.

    Now, I get it. Making a game isn't easy, and not everyone appreciates the amount of shit that goes on under the hood. It's a bitch of a thing, looking at all that script and wondering how to make it work. I've seen developers who do simple-looking stuff (Fenoxo, Alder, etc) post referential comics and such about how it's nothing short of a miracle that anything in the game works. It's not easy, and nobody knows that better than the developers themselves.

    But there is only so far you can get with that statement before people stop accepting it.

    And you've not only taken the excuse and milked it like a lactating cowgirl, but have managed to drag it through the dirt and proceed to piss on it AND the people who support you. You CLAIM to be working hard, but more content has been produced by your peers in the h-game community in 6 months than you've managed in 2 years, and with less-forgiving engines. This tells me you're either not working as hard as you claim and fully plan to go the Rick Meyers route (HAHA STUFF HAPPENED, I FUCKED UP BUT YOU GAVE US MONEY) or you legitimately have no idea what you're doing and have wasted the time and money of countless persons these past 2 years. Either way, there is ZERO reason why you are still asking for money aside greed.

    Eat some goddamn humble pie, admit you fucked up, and stop demanding money for a project you've failed to deliver on several times. If you've any sense about how much good will you have left, you'll make the right decision.

    Or you won't, and will continue to milk this project until the last bit of funding dries up a la Breeding Season.

    1. Well we didn't even bring up the Patreon idea. It was brought up for us, a while back and we've been contemplating it. You see Patreon isn't just a platform money can be made on. It's a platform that let's people who want to support us do so. After some convincing, we realized that NOT having that avenue open made less sense.

      We've admitted to some mistakes before, like Oak's problems. I don't know where you see haughtyness in anything we've posted. Humility doesn't just mean putting your head down, it means respecting your audience. I don't see how we haven't done that, considering all the lengths we went to, to cater to our audience and incorporate ideas from fan feedback.

      Also, I'm really not a big fan of most h-games out there as I've said previously. I do however do research, and from what I've looked up, there aren't really all any other developers who make h-platformers in 720p internal resolution with fullscreen animations for every monster. In fact, it was the thought that other people had already done what we are doing, the way we're doing it, that gave us the hubris to work on the project using the resources we had in the way we had.
      Also less forgiving engines? I'm sorry but unless you're a developer I'm not sure you're qualified to judge the problems we've faced in that regard.

      I'm not going to delete this comment string. When the Patreon's open any contributor will be privy to all the discussions we've had and will decide whether we're worth supporting or not. All Offbeatr donators and paypal donators will receive their reward tiers as well when we're done.

      Regarding the content of "dark, perverted and aggressive games that advocate male on female rape"... there are people who may not like MoGi Origins because of our content. I know nothing about you and you could have been someone who prefers dark games. Our game is bright, colorful and hopefully enjoyable. These things alone differentiates our game from the majority of other Hgames to the point where some people dont understand what we are trying to do. For example, someone once suggested that we have sex toys as weapons. That guy for example doesnt see the game like we do. So, each opinion derives from a persons preferences and past experiences. It is possible that some people like Hgames in general but dont like MoGi Origins. It's logical to try and find the reason behind the argument before you get to argue about something.

      There are also people that do not care about the game and they are here for the sex scenes. So, if you are looking for adult material, we not too far from finishing. There are only 2 Mogi HR and 5 enemy MoGi to finish. Other than that, we have to implement 40 new areas, the extra playable characters and anything extra such as Bosses and NPCs). Right now, you may not be able to finish the game, but if adult scenes is what you are after, then you have access to 58% of MoGi (7/12) and 66% of HR (4/6) not counting the extra MoGi and HR we added. We intend to release the rest of MoGi and HRs sporadically, as new levels are being added. The content releases need to be gradual, following the progression of the entire game.

    4. I hope all that makes sense so far. I gathered that your main complain is that we are lazy and we want more money through Patreon.

      About being lazy.... if you check Ucogi.com you can see that I havent updated it in almost 2 years now. That is partial proof that I wasnt working on some other project, which means that I spent all my time working on this game. The fact that you dont see the 2 types of soldiers, SlimeGirl Red, Cyclops, various robot enemies, power-ups like a force-field shield and all 90+ levels, doesnt mean they we haven't designed them. Many things are completed but due to programming problems we had to delay. If you look on our post in July '15, you would see the levels that Titan released in this beta. We have done things that are not presentable yet in the game. You judge this game from the Beta, but the Beta is only what is presentable at the time. A lot more are completed behind the scenes.

      Sure we could have cut things down on animation, riddles, story and so on and release a half-baked game a year ago. But that is not how we do things. Also, let me say that again, our game is big, bigger than other Hgames in length and content. Due to sheer size we had problems that only the newest GM fixes could accommodate. The memory problems, the video problems, all that. Titan had to work alongside with the video plug-in creator, because his plug-in wouldnt loop. This is just one of the things that was a new territory in GM game making.

      About Patreon, that's for those who want to support us as game developers and there would be rewards. Many fans asked for this in the last blog-post and we try to comply. Me and Titan have talked about this a lot and we really didnt want to appear greedy in any way. So, I talked to both Patreon owners and supporters and they told us to go for it and that we should have done it months ago. If anything, Patreon will help the game, possibly adding more content, so you will get a bigger game compared to what you originally paid for. It's not greed and we are not asking. We are offering.

      I'm a bit confused about your last line: "you'll make the right decision". What is the right decision? To not launch our Patreon and... quit making games because we suck at it? Please elaborate on that. Also, I have no clue who Rick Meyer is. But I dont think that's too important or maybe even relevant.

Calling someone a "troll" and insulting their intelligence actually hurts the position of the developers, since it suggests that their fans aren't above bullying and name-calling instead of allowing the developers to address the matter personally. If you bandwagon with insults and such, it reflects poorly and dissuades others from supporting the project. Keep that in mind the next time you want to weigh in on something.

      @Titan I apologize, my response was a bit rude and unnecessarily aggressive. I followed this project from day one and considered supporting it, but after 2 yrs lost interest in paying for it at all. Sue me or whatever in the future when I go looking for a shared copy, but it's one of those things where legitimate complaints like repeated animations (Fungus and Amanti are the only ones that I have seen repeated, so it's not a major one), slow progress (two-man teams generally work slower, so not a major one) and game-play mechanics not being as good as they could (it's a legitimate one if only because the animations feel stiff in places and there is no button to dash) are more/less swept under the rug. I've seen more criticism and efforts to undermine this project. I hope the legitimate stuff is addressed, but I'm hesitant to remain positive.

      Unity is an engine that does the same stuff, btw. Flash and Java also do what you're trying to do, although I wouldn't advise my worst enemy to use either.

      @Victor I don't think anyone wants you to cut down on anything or do anything that makes the game less-appealing for the sake of pushing it out sooner. I think the majority of complaints/backlash are focused on the above points and while I'm aware a good game can take a while, most opinions I've seen elsewhere are fairly negative after all this time. On the subject of your crowdfunding campaign, a lot of people still have a bad taste in their mouth from stuff like Mighty No 9, Star Citizen, and the more recent Breeding Season. Suffice it to say, this game will have a negative reputation by association.

    7. Regarding the repeated animations. We had originaly stated that we couldn't afford to add all the MoGi in the game, so we had a vote on OB to add them in. Toadstool and Gold were not voted in. Veins, however; really thought that he wanted to include them in the game at least to spruce up the enemy variations. We couldn't just add them in the game w/o adult scenes however. This is where the slightly duplicate animations came in.

      Regarding legitimate complaints. When we first started this project, considering it was our first joint project together, Veins and I wanted to start small. We wanted the project to be tiny so we could get it out and get used to each other's work styles. Get acclimated with each other and all that. This meant when we designed the game we kept the mechanics simple and tried to use them in unique ways. The game has gotten pretty big, but that mindset of keeping the game simple has probably still stayed ingrained in the back of our minds. It's changing however; as we buckled and gave Voms an extra move and added progressions to his weapon. We might add more to his repertoire in the future as well.

      Also, we've never swept anything under the rug. Yes we've heard of adding a dash and more ways to fight, but we had a discussion with the community any time that was brought up, sharing our vision of the game with everyone, and by the end, they usually understood why we made the decisions we did.

      People weren't ignored if we could help it and what you see is the end result. If you want to bring up ideas, feel free to and we'll listen.

      Regarding Unity. It wasn't picking up ground when I started working on this. I'm ashamed to say that since I've just been focusing on this game for a while, I have yet to learn it. During the memory crisis incident, I did however; get curious and found out how superior it is to GM. I do plan on learning it in the future, but so much of the game is already done in this program. Porting what we've done to a program I have to learn to use, would be much too time-consuming.

    8. @Anon: Regarding the animations I'm still confused. First you said that we reused animations from ucogi.com and then you talk about Amanita and Toadstool having the same animation. These are 2 different things. Amanita’s animation does not exist in ucogi.com and like we said many times before, Toadstool wasn't supposed to be in the game. Yes the 2 mushroom MoGi are similar but their attacks are quite different. If you strictly want to judge them from their sex scenes, have in mind that Toadstools scene wasn't supposed to exist. But that didnt stop me from adding something extra to her. I made sure that she is more than a recolored version of Amanita. Toadstool uses her hand to stretch her butt and licks the juices in the end. Amanita doesn't do that.

      Also I want to clarify something that a few people have misunderstood. Toadstool and Gold were added because we had Amanita and Stone in the game, due to their similar appearance. It was a way for us to expand the game a little more, without having to work from scratch on new MoGi designs and animations. We didn't just add them because we had nothing better to do or because we were lazy with their animations. They are bonus material that would not have been added if we didn't care about our fans or our game itself. These MoGi were meant to be used as good examples about this game, not as examples to make us feel bad. Yet somehow this view got distorted. A lot of work was put into them in order for them to differ from the original work, both as MoGi enemies and sex scenes. They are additions that we should be happy about. The MoGi enemies in the game were supposed to be 12 but with our 2 extra additions the total amount of MoGi enemies in the game would be 14. I wish we could add more.

      @Civilian: We are about to make a small beta update in the next few days that would include 3 rooms with unique riddles and art. If that’s not enough, the next update will have a new boss and many fixes regarding the levels prior to the tunnel. I hope those are enough for the time being.

  38. The only thing I don't like is honestly, the enemy placement needs a lot of work. Most encounters it's better to just take a hit and mercy-invinciblity jump through everything, because trying to fight two pumpkins, two golds, while amanita throws stuff at you and squirrel runs in from off-screen is just not worth it.

    2. We can move enemies around and we will change them later on. As a matter of fact I think Titan changed a few enemies around in the last Beta. There used to be 2 Naiads after the Hospital but it was a nasty trap for the player... bad way to introduce her as an enemy. And also, the tower we want to release next, is supposed to be full of slimes, so we need to release more slimes earlier in the game but I havent finish them yet. So yeah, we will get there.

    1. Boston Crab, Camel Clutch, 69 Scissors, Body scissors and Sleeper Holds are all wrestling ideas. Since "scissor holds are the ultimate in female supremacy" as you said, I would give them a try, but I think these are moves best suited to more muscular MoGi such as Orc.

      Your ideas are interesting but I dont find them too fitting at the moment, with Red at least. That said, we have implemented many other ideas that were rejected at first.

    not to get off topic or anything...but wrestling has been my life. bbw my preference. combine the two, thats me. thats what i do.

    back to topic... ORC would be good for sleeper hold variations...while getting VOMS off.

    1. Yeah I got your message... it probably disappeared from here because of the too many messages in the post. Tbh I never thought of wrestling moves until now, mainly because we didn't had any grab moves until SG Black. Oak and Red are so big that would cover most of Voms, so that's a design problem that would need to be addressed. And also, these 2 Queens are not really designed to have complete leg designs. But yeah... we will see how it goes. thanks for the ideas :)
