Final Boss, final MoGi

We are happy to announce that Veins completed Stheno's design and animations. She is the last Queen of Voms' playthrough and the last MoGi enemy for Voms timeline! It is indeed a landmark in our game's development. I wanted to avoid spoilers but I also wanted to share how she would look like in the game and see your reaction. I hope you like her!

In the following video we reveal the animation procedure of her idle animation, frame by frame. She is the 29th Monstergirl that we made for the game (including extra MoGi enemies that don't appear in Voms timeline) and the 9th boss Voms is going to fight! We only show her idle animation in this video. She will appear in the game when Voms' timeline is completed and MoGi Origins is released.


We have been working on many more things in the background. Details that may not be visible to the player. We usually can only show the progression of animations and art, but let's not forget that the programing is the soul of the game. Sometimes it's hard to talk about it, since it's just code. And it's easier to point out what doesn't work instead of what actually works. Many of the videos I have upload is of work in progress where the programming mostly fails. A lot of hard work, knowledge, peace of mind and willpower is needed to program, let alone finish anything. Here's some small things that need attention that nobody would notice, but they would contribute to a better gaming experience and we consider them important. They may contain spoilers, or not appear in the game at all.


We also plan on releasing a new Beta soon. Probably next month if everything goes well. Veins still needs to finish Ucogi and a new cut-scene for that to happen, but we are very excited about this! 

Voms will finally meet Ucogi and Rudy and get to an entirely new area, the labs! A brand new MoGi will be introduced and we will add Troll and Vampire (+ZombieGirl) in the game as well! 

That's 4 new MoGi in total and we will merge the two current Betas to avoid any confusion. That means that the Story Mode and the Extra Modes (Time Attack and Survival) will be in the same package!

      But I don't lie so I'm okay with this. The video you posted was done indeed a year ago. It was the draft groundwork so that Titan has some frames to work with. I didn't had time to finish Stheno until a few days ago.

      If you notice in the video you posted, the snakes on her head have no animation, the shade on her bally under her boobs doesn't move, and her cleavage is not perfectly defined. Also her latest design has highlights (48:40) and better refined outlines (45:40). In my video you can see that I do work on top of the old model and that i add scratches on her (52:10), facial expressions (36:00) and so much more.

      More than that, Stheno now has animated attacks and other details that are not shown in the video I posted, to avoid further spoilers.

    1. I was exhausted but also very happy when I finished Stheno. It's not the most pleasant thing to be questioned after the satisfaction of completing such a challenging task.

      But it's alright, I see where he is coming from. Stheno was seemingly almost done a year ago according to my blurry video. This is a place for discussions after all, and he had concerns.

    3. We are working on a new Beta release right now. Hopefully we will get a Voms release after that, when more details are added. I do want to go back and redo many levels, according to the suggestions I received over the years.

  3. When you say redo, i am curious to know more specifically what you're talking about. Are you talking about bug proofing? You don't owe us new content, just my opinion.

    1. When I say redo... there is no short version to explain this, but I will do my best, because it is an interesting question. This could be best illustrated with an existing example, so please check the last preview image here: https://veins.itch.io/mogi-origins-demo

      That image is split in 2. It has a "Demo version" and a "Latest version". I have updated not only the art, but also the level layout and I added a few new things, like an NPC, a sub-weapon and a fire.

      So why this is so important?
      The fire extinguisher is by a water tank, which is a cool little detail. The fire extinguisher is next to a fire, so now you can see the fire disappear, indicating that the fire on the next screen should also be gone (right now it's not easy to understand what the fire extinguisher does.
      The fire is also there to make you climb on the silo. One of my personal complains about the game is that it's too flat, so the fire has several reasons being there. The NPC teaches you about the weapon. The weapon is there to make the backtracking more interesting. The water tower is also a good platform for Alice.

      Also the silo has smoother shade, and there are parallax backgrounds to make the level more visually interesting, among other things.

      This is not extra work for me. This is improving the player's experience. I always wanted to go back and add new things, finish up the levels and add final touches, like more parallax scrolling. Back then we were rushing to finish the main level layout and some of the work was choppy. Polishing a game is expected and I'm very exited about it.

  4. Make us pay for new content, improve the skills and have less bugs but deving is hard work and should be compensated.

    1. We try to deliver what we promised, without the delivery being half-assed and lazy. The project took a long time and if we charge extra for anything, we would be crucified.

      We do get help from Patrons (which helps a lot), but for now we just focus to finish what we started. Thank you for caring :)

      We don't want to add any extra new content for 2 reasons. The game has already too much data, which worries Titan (remember the blank screen during sex scenes?). And also anything new would take even more time, and we do need to finish the game at some point and move on to new things.

  5. Sorry if this was already asked before, are there any sex scenes for Ucogi or Alice on this game?

    1. Yes, the players will see Alice and Ucogi have sex. The scenes are completed but not implemented in the game yet.

    1. Titan thought it was ready 20 days ago but it had some glitches. Titan is trying to fix these glitches and then I need to add a few things on my own. I assume it will take a couple more weeks before we release a decent beta.
