Aftermath of Titan's trip

After 2.5 months of hard work, Titan returned home and he is no longer living with Veins. Our main goal was to finish Voms timeline, or at least, as many things as possible. We had a board for our plans and deadlines (1) and another board keeping track of what actually happened (2).

You may not understand a lot because those boards were made for personal use. But you can see some of the dates we took a break, the weeks that Veins planned to finish Ucogi and Alice but he had to deal with the level design instead, and the final days where we both were exhausted. The map system was done from scratch, a few errors and glitched had to be fixed, a ton of level hazards were added and the list goes on and on regarding everything we added in the game.

We reached a point were we had to work so fast that we didn't even had the luxury of turning back and double check our work. We finished all the MoGi enemies, program-wise and graphic-wise (except Erubetie), as well as many MoGi Queens, but there was no time to test them excruciatingly. Our level guys managed to finish all the 59 remaining levels but we haven't played in them in order to do any corrections. Designing all these levels and adding all the new objects took a huge chunk of Veins time, and they have still a long way to go, but knowing they are almost done, it's a fulfilling milestone.
Veins draft sketches: Alice's Dungeon, Stheno's Castle and Ucogi's Temple.

Most of the work is done but we need to check what we have done in detail before we can show something concrete. We do want to release a new Beta soon, but first we need to go through the time consuming process of finalizing everything we can, which always slows us down a bit.

Now that Titan and Veins are separate again, Team Erogi will be working to tidy up the game and make it ready for presentation. Unfortunately we didn't get to finish Voms timeline, mostly because Ucogi, Alice and a few cutscenes and MoGi need to be completed as well. That said, we did a REALLY good amount of work. The entire island is done visually, and every map exists in the level editor. This was a really large hurdle for us, and it's cleared.

    2. Sorry for the late reply. It's hard to give you a date estimation at this point. I can assume that it won't happen during March because there is too much to be done (like finishing Ucogi's animations and the riddles/hazards of the New Labs). Hopefully on April we can have something concrete to share.

  10. My sincere apologies for not posting anything during February. The truth is I overworked my self during Titan's stay and I needed a break. That's why I had nothing new to report. This was my longest break from the game since we started MoGi Origins and it was absolutely necessary.

Thank you for being around and trying to motivate me to work. We all need some pushing sometimes. I struggle lately but I'm aware of what needs to be done. With all the levels done and the rest of the game design clearly laid out... I can see how much more there is to be done and that vision made me crumble. This was even especially devastating when we thought / planned to finish Voms timeline during Titan's stay, focusing completely and failing to deliver. I needed some time off to clear my mind and regroup my thoughts.

All is good though, we are still here and keep fighting the good cause. I will make a new blog post when we have something decent to show.

  11. Hey Veins, I understand you guys worked hard while together, but over a month with nothing to share is a long time.. Breaks are very important, but a long break can give you trouble when you get back to the job, especially for a big project like this. People understand failing to meet deadlines, but honestly most of us just want to see some new content to get us excited and give us confidence that there will be a final product.

You guys are so close, and have put so much time into this game. Finish up strong and look to whatever comes next!

  12. The problem is they've already taken your money, and what you don't understand is that once someone takes your money they don't owe you anything else.

    1. I don't think that's the type of people they are though. They have been through a lot with this project and when plenty of other ppl would have given up and just dropped the project, they kept going. This is something important to them on a personal level to complete I feel like, and they aren't just in it for the money... just my opinion based on everything i've seen throughout the years with this project. Burnout happens, people need breaks. As long as creators of a game keep the fans updated on a situation and show that progress is being made overall from time to time, that's all i ask for.

    2. You aren't owed an update.

    3. We do feel badly about the lack of a progress update after I came back. We really burned ourselves working super hard while I was over there.

      Also Anon1 is quite correct.

I personally started this project because I do not like a majority of the h-games on the market. I love animation. Most h-games have static CGs. I love male protagonists and reverse rape. Most h-games are female protagonists and traditional rape.

I wanted to be the change I wanted to see and took an active effort to be a part of a game I personally wanted to see more of. This is part of the Origins of this game.

I'm sorry if we made you cynical Quite Frankly. Development is a challenge where life gets in the way, and I know how blessed we are to be given such a good head start, but complications happen.

      Please be patient with us.

We will never drop this game.

  13. Idk if this is fixed in the next update already but I just found a bug when you talk to someone, sometimes the game softlocks after the conversation ends. it actually seemed kinda common and easy to replicate and the only way to get out of it seemed to be restarting the game, idk if this is the place to tell u but just letting u konw

  15. Lol, is this project still alive? How many years it's been already? How much money they took from you poor people on patreon by now this should have been a AAA game.
